Food and nutrition security are the basic requirements for human resource development. By food and nutrition security, physical and economic access of food and nutrition to all sections of the society is meant. Food and nutrition security is integral to livelihood security in terms of capabilities, assets and activities required for living. Thus, food security is a priority concept in developmental economy.
