AN array of steam and miniature engines, tractors, horticultural and garden machinery, commercial and military vehicles, vintage cars, vintage motorcycles, bicycles and even old lawn mowers were displayed at the Clwyd Veteran & Vintage Machinery Society annual rally at the Oswestry Showground this week.
The society believes the future remains bright for vintage machinery shows as the success of the rallies in Wales goes from strength to strength.

A FINGERPRINT discovered at a farm building led detectives to a burglar who stole two quad bikes and two ride-on mowers.
John Frost 33, admitted the commercial burglary at Moorhouse Farm, Brigsley Road, Ashby-cum-Fenby, between September 27 and 28 last year. Items taken included quad bikes, ride-on lawn mowers, welding equipment and garden furniture and two trailers, worth a total of Pounds 13,388. None of the items were recovered.

John Deere commercial and consumer equipment dealer Greenlay Ltd of Choppington, Northumberland has sold more than 100 mowers worth almost pounds 250,000 in two fleet deals with local councils in the North-East.
