As more UK companies turn to overseas markets, the need for expert knowledge in export and import markets has risen, according to an expert at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Peter Moore, head of documentation at the chamber, said the weakening pound and falling interest rates had made British firms more competitive abroad and that meant a big rise in customs procedures and certification.
