A DEPORTATION order to send Abu Qatada to Jordan and allow him to be put back behind bars will be issued within days, Home Secretary Theresa May said today.
In a statement to MPs, Mrs May said new assurances from Jordan about the independence of the judges who will try Qatada and the use of evidence obtained by torture meant that it was now possible to return the extremist cleric to his home country.
