CONSTRUCTION equipment manufacturer JCB has secured a multi- millionpound order for industrial forklift trucks. The Rocester-based firm has received an order for 94 JCB Teletruks from distributor Barloworld Handling. The exact cost of the deal has not been disclosed, but JCB said it was one of the biggest to be placed in the UK this year for industrial forklift machines.

TWO bidders were reported over the weekend to be in discussions to buy the mothballed Artenius plastics plant at Wilton. The Sunday Times said US group International Process Plants - a global supplier of used processing plants and processing equipment - and Indonesian firm Indorama - a global manufacturer of industrial products, including the plastics chemicals PET and PTA, both of which were produced at the Wilton plant - were said to be in talks with administrators at Deloitte.
