THE mother of a 13-year-old girl who lost her brave battle with cancer has paid tribute to her "little Tinkerbell". Popular Chantelle Davies, who was fighting the disease for the fourth time, died at home on Tuesday night surrounded by her family.
PORCELAIN pale, her enormous sky-blue eyes are framed by thick, dark lashes, and her mouth is as perfect as a rosebud. Her hair has been styled into tousled blonde bunches, which hang coquettishly either side of the ruffled collar of her Victoriana blouse. You could be forgiven for thinking you are looking at a life- size china figurine. But Venus is a living, breathing 15-year-old girl, who chooses to style herself as a 'living doll'.
The questions came thick and fast, like cruise missiles blasting their way under the radar. 'Where was Tinkerbell in the parade? I was looking for her but she wasn't there.' 'Erm... she is represented at the front of the Peter Pan boat,' came the stuttering reply. 'She's also on top of the castle.' 'I know but that isn't the real one,' came the exasperated response.
