A CONSULTATION exercise on a sell-off of more than 60 open green sites in Bristol has been condemned as a waste of time and money.
Campaigners told the Evening Post that people were not properly consulted and the sites were chosen based on flawed information.

The shops are still in North Street and they are widely used by local people. We have used them for 28 years and will continue to do so if/when the new store is built, even though we shop at Sainsbury's as well. We believe that people will continue to use these shops because of what they offer in terms of quality and the more personal service they receive. STAGECOACH chief executive Brian Souter will this week launch a blistering attack on the Competition Commission's inquiry into the UK bus industry, dismissing it as a waste of time and energy.
The transport boss will use the occasion of Stagecoash's interim results presentation to claim the investigation is an unnecessary diversion of companies' attention as the Commission prepares to publish its initial findings next month.

CONSULTATION meetings held in Bristol as part of the green spaces sell-off plan have been branded a waste of time by one of the people who went.
A series of "stakeholdS r" meetings were held by Bristol City Council before public consultation began in June on the plan to sell off up to 64 sites, as part of the research into which green areas should be put forward for disposal.

ON Sunday, February 20, at Kingsway Village, three police community support officers delivered leaflets though our letterboxes advising residents that staff from local agencies would be conducting a "door-knock" the following Thursday, February 24, with the aim of speaking to each resident within the area.
The visit would take place between 3pm and 7.30pm.
