Solihull began the game strongly and Junior English headed an early corner over. Moors created plenty of other chances in the first half, Alex Price's crosscum-show was tipped over by the keeper. Winger Ryan Beswick curled a dangerous free kick just wide, and twice striker James McPike missed the target.
