WHAT was your best holiday? We've been extremely fortunate to visit many beautiful destinations over the years but the best place we have been to has to be the Maldives, simply for the peace and quiet. It was idyllic. We've been there five times and it's quite simply heaven on earth and the most tranquil place you will ever visit. We first travelled there 10 years ago, and the last time I went was last September. I'd go back there again in an instant. I would definitely recommend heading there if you want to escape from it all and soak up the relaxing atmosphere. And the best hotel you've stayed in? One of the best hotels we've stayed in was the Hotel Jalta in Prague. It's in the heart of the city so you couldn't ask for a more ideal location, especially if you like lots of things to see and do. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes around, as well as historical and cultural places such as the National Museum and the Prague State Opera, so there's always something to keep you occupied. You could never be bored. As for the hotel itself, it was very modern and luxurious, but comfortable. We felt really at home. The staff were brilliant -- really friendly. They couldn't do enough and were constantly running around for you, we were really taken care of.
What was your worst holiday? We went to Mexico at the beginning of this year, and it was just awful. We've been to Mexico before on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it, but this time, it wasn't enjoyable at all. We went to Riviera Maya and it was so commercialised, I felt like we were in Ibiza. There were so many young Americans and Brits acting rowdily, drinking far too much and making complete fools of themselves -- the place just wasn't for us. It was also really unfortunate that we didn't have the nicest of weather when we went, so it wasn't the best two weeks away.See the full content of this document
