THE daughter of the last British veteran of both world wars said today's memorial service at Westminster Abbey would bring "a sense of closure".

Anne Davidson said her father, former Royal Navy sailor William Stone, who died in January aged 108, always believed it was important to remember the sacrifice of his fallen comrades. "My father and the other veterans felt strongly they should never be forgotten.
