A Birmingham army cadet who was blinded in an IRA bombing has been compensated only for the loss of one eye because he was already partially sighted.

Stephen Menary was just 14 when he was caught up in the blast in west London in 2001. He lost his left hand and ear and suffered horrific injuries to his stomach and chest.
