IAN McGEECHAN, Scotland's director of rugby, seems ready to escape Scottish rugby's in-fighting to return to England's Premiership.

Sources at Bath indicated last night that while the three time British and Irish Lions head coach missed last week's scheduled meeting with Andrew Brownsword, the club's owner, it was merely postponed. McGeechan remains the club's top choice to take over as director of rugby on completing his role as assistant coach on this summer's Lions tour to New Zealand.
