Andre Blackman's future at Ashton Gate was in doubt last night after Bristol City boss Gary Johnson declined to be drawn on speculation that the young defender's contract is to be cancelled.

The promising left-back was signed on a free transfer from Portsmouth three months ago - but a report yesterday claimed that Johnson had been 'unimpressed' with what he had seen from the defender so far and that he was trying to 'get rid' of him.
