Nearly 200 jobs have been saved at Birmingham-based Europackaging after it was bought back by former owners the Majid family, it was revealed yesterday.

The family concluded the deal in a prepack administration agreement, which secures more than 800 jobs worldwide, almost three years after they sold the company to private equity house Mid-Ocean Partners. The takeover results in Europackaging Jersey Guarantee, owned by the Majid family, acquiring Europackaging Ltd and Border Converters Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
