C-Zone: Who Is It Really For?




Summary


THE Mayor's decision to announce the extension of the C-zone in the middle of August - when many vocal opponents are on holiday - speaks volumes (C-charge to expand, 11 August).

This decision is both premature and alarming. C-charging has reduced the number of cars coming into central London by up to 70,000 a day. According to TfL's own figures, 5,000 of these visitors have not transferred to other modes of transport. We estimate the true figure is much higher.
