FRESH fears were voiced last night about the future of a whole generation of young people as new figures confirmed record numbers of 18-24-year-olds are not in school, college or work.

There are now more than 100,000 more 18-24-year-olds considered to be "Neet" - not in education, employment or training - than there were at this point a year ago, according to quarterly figures.
