Kevin Costner's Iowa farmer gets a cryptic message one night in his corn field which leads to him building a huge baseball diamond. A wonderfully evocative adaptation of WP Kinsella's cult novel which makes hokey and nostalgic work.

FILM: BABE, 1.45pm, UTV WITH state-of-the-art animatronics and subtle use of CGI, this charming but never icky tale of the pig that wants to be a sheepdog retains the dark edge that made Dick King Smith's original story, The Sheep-Pig, such a hit.
