Summary

MACKAY helped boyhood heroes Hearts win the Scottish Cup and League Championship before being sold to Spurs for GBP32,000 in 1959. He starred as they became the first English club in the 20th century to win the league and cup double, in 1961. He won 22 caps for Scotland and played in the 1958 World Cup. As manager, he guided Derby to the league title in 1975.
