TAKE-UP in the Cardiff office market fell by 8% in the second quarter of the year, according to latest research produced by BNP Paribas Real Estate. Q2 saw take-up in the Welsh capital reach 52,000 sq ft compared to 56,655 sq ft in Q1 bringing the total amount of office space transacted in the first half of 2009 to 108,655 sq ft. Headline rents in Cardiff remained consistent at pounds 20 per sq ft.
Mark Sutton, of Cardiff office agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: "Despite a small dip in take-up in Q2 Cardiff outperformed many other regional centres such as Leeds and Birmingham who saw take-up in the second quarter fall by 53% and 22.5% respectively."See the full content of this document
