The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (Scotland) Order 2003

Made 26th June 2003

Coming into force 30th June 2003

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 7(1) and (2) and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation, commencement and extent

1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (Scotland) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 30th June 2003.

(2) This Order extends to Scotland only.

Amendments to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978

2. - (1) The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[2] shall be amended as follows:-

(a) in article 3(2) and (4) (special disease and general orders), after "Schedule 1" insert "or Schedule 2";

(b) in article 4 (approved disinfectants), for "Schedule 1" substitute "either Schedule 1 or Schedule 2";

(c) at the end of article 5(3) (disinfectants listed in Schedule 1) insert-, unless it is then added to the disinfectants listed in column 1 of Schedule 2".

(d) after article 5 insert-

Disinfectants listed in Schedule 2

6. - (1) A disinfectant listed in column 1 of Schedule 2 is approved for use, and may be used, only under and for the purposes of an order in the column relating to which (in that Schedule) a dilution rate is specified...
