The rivals, balanced at 0-0 at half time and 1-1 with 90 minutes played, could not be separated in extra time either - but then Holyhead edged the spot kicks 4-3. Obi Anorou had netted for Newtown on 54 minutes and Curt Williams for Holyhead on 55.
