The Education (School Performance Information) (Wales) Regulations 1993

Made 1st September 1993

Laid before Parliament 13th September 1993

Coming into force 4th October 1993

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by Sections 22 and 232(5) and (6) of the Education Reform Act 1988[1], and Sections 16 and 19(3) of the Education (Schools) Act 1992[2], and after consulting with those persons with whom consultation appeared to him to be desirable, the Secretary of State for Wales hereby makes the following Regulations:

PART I

GENERAL

Citation, commencement and application

1.--(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Performance Information) (Wales) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 4th October 1993.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to schools in Wales only.

Revocation

2. The Education (School Performance Information) (Wales) Regulations 1992[3] are revoked.

Interpretation

3.--(1) In these Regulations, except where the context otherwise requires--

"the 1988 Act" means the Education Reform Act 1988;

"CoE" means Certificate of Education;

"Corresponding local figure" means the mean...
