IT is difficult to believe that our employment problems are being resolved. There may be plenty jobs advertised, but many are entry- level positions with an 'experience preferred' clause; others want part-time employees who are able to perform the equivalent of full- time work.

Keen but inexperienced job seekers have very little chance. The Work and Income 'service' already oppresses our unemployed by regularly issuing computer-generated letters threatening to discontinue benefits, routinely ignoring beneficiaries' communications regarding personal emergencies.
