TWO years ago I would have described myself as a classic corporate ladder-climber. I was earning a basic salary of Pounds 75,000, with bonuses on top. I was always hungry for more responsibility and the next opportunity. I travelled a lot, a week at home then a week away. I enjoyed my job although I always wanted to do something that would really make a difference to other people.
