THE owners of the London Eye are to go to court in a bid to settle a row which threatens its future.

The London Eye Company has applied for a judicial review of its rent dispute with the South Bank Centre, which owns the land on which part of the Eye is built and wants a rent increase from Pounds 65,000 to Pounds 2.5 million. Negotiations intensified when the row was revealed by the Standard in May, but have since stalled again.
