OLYMPIC officials, reeling under the less-than-enthusiastic reception given to the Beijing torch relay, are bracing themselves for more flak over allegations of Chinese match-fixing on the badminton courts at the Athens Games.

The Badminton World Federation are investigating an interview broadcast in China by head coach Li Yongbo, in which he appeared to admit ordering Zhou Mi to throw the Athens 2004 women's singles semi- final against her compatriot and eventual gold medal winner, Zhang Ning (right).
