The Prime Minister gambled his political life in a deal which will deliver another hammer blow to UK sovereignty. After two days of wrangling and private deals hatched in smoke-filled rooms at the Brussels summit, he accepted the first ever constitution for the EU, bringing a single superstate another step closer.
