NOT LONG after the final whistle in the Leinster hurling final at Croke Park, I made my way to the exit only to find the lift out of commission due to a power cut. The emergency lift was summoned and, going down, the doors opened on the level where the Players' Lounge is located. Suddenly I was surrounded by half the Dublin hurling squad.
For a young team, they are seriously imposing up close. They had the look of a bunch of guys primed for the white heat of championship and they gave off an air that nothing would faze them... and this after going toe-to-toe with Kilkenny for 70 plus minutes!See the full content of this document
