Paula Radcliffe remembers vividly the moment Catherine Ndereba bounded past her a few miles outside central Athens last summer. It was the first time in three marathons that the Kenyan had overtaken her and, as she disappeared into the distance in hot pursuit of Japan's Mizuko Noguchi, Radcliffe's Olympic ambitions came to a shattering halt.
