MARK HATELEY believes Rangers would need to expand the capacity of Ibrox to cope with the demand should the Old Firm ever be welcomed into the Barclays Premier League.

The subject was raised again this week by Peter Lawwell, the Celtic chief executive, and Martin Bain, his Rangers counterpart, who both expressed strong opinions that it would not be long before their respective clubs quit the Scottish Premier League for a fresh challenge, either in England or as part of a newly-created European league.
