HOLYROOD needs fewer white faces after the next Scottish election, as a sign it is listening to the need for more Muslim and ethnic minority engagement in public life, it was claimed yesterday.

Osama Saeed, Scottish spokesman for the Muslim Association of Great Britain, is to make a speech in Holyrood's debating chamber, warning that Scottish political parties must open up to more diversity when they choose their candidates for the 2007 election, a process already under way.
