Summary
THE tail of a hurricane swept through the Westcountry yesterday, whipping up the seas around the region. The last hurrah of Hurricane Bill, which hit the Eastern Seaboard of the United States last week, threatening the holiday of President Obama in Martha's Vineyard, passed through the region with less vigour, causing little more than strong winds and gusty showers.
