Summary


IRISH borrowers have racked up a debt mountain of almost $1.2trillion, according to figures released by the Bank for International Settlements.

Borrowers, including our fast-growing international financial services industry, owe foreign banks roughly half as much as those in Germany and almost as much as Spain's $1.3trillion.
