THE eighth round of the River Teign Rowing Club's Seine Boat Series began with the novice race as part of Teignmouth Regatta's events.

Enthusiasm was evident as five boats lined up on Shaldon beach for the start for a course taking around ten minutes, around the harbour, turning off the quays and finishing at the green channel marker off the Back Beach.
