Bloomsbury have announced the acquisition of a biography of Gordon Brown

by Suzie Mackenzie, due in March 2009. Having already published three books by the Prime Minister at great expense (he was rumoured to have been paid a massive six-figure sum): Speeches, 1997-2006; Moving Britain Forward: Selected Speeches, 1997-2006; and Courage: Eight Portraits - none of which could exactly be described as bestsellers - you would have thought they would have learned their lesson but apparently not. Is this Brown fixation prudent?
