WHEN I was a smart Alec kid (start as you mean to go on), I joked that my body would be the perfect shape - Barbie's - if I could just figure out how to shift fat from my lower half north to my bustline.

Bright ideas being what they are, I wasn't the first or the only person to be conked on the head by that particular mega-watt bulb. Countless other women, and plastic surgeons of both sexes, have wondered: "Hey, what would happen if...? Think it'd work?"
