1. - Citation, commencement, interpretation, application, exemption and revocation

2. - Classification of ships

PART II

FIRE PREVENTION AND FIRE APPLIANCES

PASSENGER SHIPS

Class I

(Passenger ships engaged on voyages any of which are long international voyages)

3. - Fire pumps, fire main, water service pipes, hydrants, hoses and nozzles

4. - Portable fire extinguishers in accommodation, cargo and service spaces

5. - Fixed fire-extinguishing systems in cargo spaces

6. - Special requirements for cargo space ventilation

7. - Machinery spaces of Category A

8. - Machinery spaces containing steam turbines or enclosed steam engines

9. - Fire-extinguishing appliances in other machinery spaces

10. - Paint lockers etc.

11. - Fire patrol, detection and alarm systems

12. - Firemen's outfits

13. - International shore connection

Class II

(Passenger ships engaged only on short international voyages)

14. - All ships

Class II(A)

(Passenger ships engaged on voyages of any kind other than international voyages)

15. - Ships of 21.34 metres in length or over
