HE has been voted the "most hated soap villain" and now he is playing an evil dentist, so does actor Alex Ferns worry that he may be at risk of typecasting? Alex, who held EastEnders viewers in thrall for two years as the smooth talking wife-beater Trevor Morgan, husband to Little Mo, is now on stage as Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors but he says there is no reason he keeps landing unpleasant parts.

"I think I was at risk of type-casting when I first finished EastEnders but I have managed to do lots of different roles since then," he says.
