FAMILIES of victims and terrorists alike say they will reject the proposed Pounds 12,000 they could claim in 'recognition' of their losses during Northern Ireland's Troubles.

Among those planning to shun the gesture is Lady Pamela Hicks, younger daughter of Lord Mountbatten who was killed by an IRA bomb on his boat off the Irish coast in 1979. Lady Pamela, 79, said last night: 'I can assure you we are not going to apply. Absolutely, we're not.'
