Summary


TESCO fired another salvo in the supermarket price war as it unveiled [pounds]100m of price cuts on 3,000 products. This is in addition to the [pounds]100m reduction announced a fortnight ago and comes days after rival Asda announced it was slashing the cost of 1,000 lines.

However, retail analyst Clive Black, of Shore Capital, said many grocers are finding it easier to pass on cuts as their own costs start to fall.
