Summary
BY USING those who voted Labour looking for a fairer Britain, grasping Labour MPs have not only reinforced voter apathy, they have shown greed can be rewarded for failure. So, will the Tories be any different? Perhaps not? Letting self-absorbed politicians determine their own salaries and expenses has proved to be disastrous for the integrity of our democracy. To restore faith in it, an independent, unbiased review of politicians' remunerations is paramount.
In the interest of accountability and as an incentive to improve our standard of living, MPs should be paid the average wage. If an overnight stay is required, the average cost of a stay in a local hotel or bed and breakfast should suffice.See the full content of this document
