Summary
THE Blyth Volunteer Lifeboat Service was disbanded in April 2008 to become the Blyth All-Weather Lifeboat (BAWLB), named The Abbie Deans Spirit of Blyth and Wansbeck.
The lifeboat took its name from a pledge made by the councillors of the two areas to the BLVS, before Northumberland County Council came into force as a unitary authority this year, to provide continuous financial support to the service.See the full content of this document
