NOW that schools and colleges around the region have broken up for the summer, the students of the Gala Theatre Stage School (GTSS) are gearing up for a period of intensive rehearsals as they prepare their summer show, the hit Broadway musical, Rent.

Rent was written by New Yorkbased composer and playwright, Jonathan Larson, who tragically died the night before the musical had its Broadway premiere in January 1996.
