Summary

DO you remember Sid, which was the name used by the gas lot years ago, and then there was Ernie, the electronic front of the machine that drew Premium Bonds? Ernie is now in my view a complete and utter disgrace because the Government, when it did not increase the amount for prizes when the interest rate went up, has cut the prizes to ribbons with the fall in interest rates. This is highway robbery. pounds 50 was the lowest prize a decade ago and this has now been cut in two to pounds 25, which of course in purchasing power is minimised. Gordon Brown is to blame for this and many other things.

For people to keep their money in Premium Bonds is a questionable matter.
