Summary


GIFTS from Ireland and Scandinavia, given to Scotland to mark the inauguration of its new parliament, were seen for the first time last night as part of the Holyrood: Art and Architecture programme.

The Scottish Parliament came under scrutiny for allocating funding of up to (pounds) 250,000 for works, but last night it was demonstrated that gifts from home and abroad added up to much more than the sum of their parts.
