IT would be foolish of me to suggest that those of my colleagues who want to sign up for next season's Indian Premier League are not first and foremost tempted by the chance to make some big bucks. Everyone knows just how lucrative the offers from Indian franchises to Freddie Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen and others have been.

Even though we haven't signed our central contracts yet because we have no idea how long players may be available for the IPL, if it came to a straight choice between playing for England and playing in the IPL, I cannot believe any of our guys would turn their back on their country.
