BROADCASTER ITV today revealed it has poached Ricky Gervais from the BBC. The creator and star of The Office will make a TV version of his best-selling children's book, Flaminals, for the network. ITV's controller of entertainment, Paul Jackson, said Gervais would write and narrate the six-part series. Gervais has already sold Flaminals film rights to Twentieth Century Fox.
