THE futuristic-looking multicoloured glass office block which will become home to dozens of Ken Livingstone's bureaucrats is to be equipped with 14 rooftop wind turbines.

Southwark council has approved the additions on the Palestra building, which were not part of the original planning permission. They want the building, close to Tate Modern and designed by award- winning architect Will Alsop, to act as a model for other developers.
