THE Post headline highlighted the total irresponsibiliy/ stupidity of the Wessex Connect bus driver using a pavement.

Question: Why is it that, according to the spokesman for Avon & Somerset Police, there is "no traffic offence that specifically relates to driving a motorised vehicle on a pavement..."? People can be clamped and fined for parking on a pavement.
