Summary
LAST week I found myself in a position I'd advise against. By which, I mean wilfully choosing extra problems and so making myself ill with stress, insomnia and decisions. As the medical professional knows, asthma can be one physical manifestation of extreme tension. Sometimes I'm too busy to breathe.
It's amazing how life suddenly turns. There I was coasting along, with this column to write, all your letters to read, my book to revise and my daughter's wedding to finish organising (and write about for Femail Magazine!), when, within the space of three days, I gave myself another task. You see, my son 'fessed up' that he's desperate to leave London and his hard-nosed career in TV and build a new life in the country, aided by his lovely partner and an exciting, quirky business idea.
